We believe in the importance of fostering children’s curiosity and confidence to enable them to flourish and take risks.
Every Pre-Prep pupil at Brighton College (Singapore) benefits from a broad, fun, and dynamic curriculum that prepares them for the modern world. The happiness of each child is paramount, and we pride ourselves on the value of kindness, which permeates through the entire school. We are committed to giving our pupils the best start to their academic journey, ensuring they develop their individual strengths and characters.
Our amazing pupils, experienced staff, and supportive parent community make Brighton College (Singapore) an incredibly special place to learn.

At Brighton College (Singapore), we tailor each child’s learning journey through an engaging, child-centred curriculum. Our play-based learning approach in the Early Years nurtures confidence and creativity, building on children’s interests. For example, hands-on water play exploring marine life fosters sensory exploration, curiosity, and deeper connections to the world around them.
Our state-of-the-art facilities feature bright classrooms, sensory spaces, and a dedicated Makerspace for creative projects. In Year 2, pupils designed and built a spaceship inspired by the story Beegu, integrating literacy, science, and art. These dynamic projects encourage collaboration and problem-solving, ensuring children thrive academically and socially.
Our small class sizes naturally allow each child to receive personalised attention from both teachers and teaching assistants. Specialist teaching starts with our youngest children in Pre-Nursery, and as pupils progress through the school, they benefit from an increasing number of specialist lessons. These include Mandarin, music, PE, art, swimming, dance, and drama. We believe in fostering a strong home-school partnership and maintaining an ‘open door’ policy for all parents.
Pupil wellbeing care is at the heart of everything we do. All staff contribute to this nurturing environment, guided by the Assistant Head (Pastoral). Positive behaviours are cultivated through our Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) and the Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculums, through our assembly themes and through the Pelican Pathway, built on values like Perseverance, Enthusiasm, Leadership, Improvement, Creativity, Achievement and Knowledge.
Pre-Prep pupils arrive from 8.25am, beginning mornings filled with learning through play. Activities like swimming, PE, dance, drama, art, Mandarin, cooking and music create a vibrant mix of experiences.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, which covers Pre-Nursery to Reception, is planned on a weekly basis by EYFS specialists and adapts to each child’s needs. We also offer a range of optional afternoon activities that are perfect for little ones who are eager to continue exploring and learning.
