How to Apply
Join Brighton College (Singapore)
Thank you for considering Brighton College (Singapore) for your child’s education. We understand that selecting the right school in Singapore for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. Navigating the application process, especially when considering an international move, can feel overwhelming.
At Brighton College (Singapore), we are here to make the journey easier and ensure your child’s educational experience starts smoothly. Our application process is designed to be straightforward, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Below, you will find all the information you need to complete your child’s application, along with detailed instructions. If you need assistance at any point, do contact us – we are happy to help.
Join us with our easy 5-step process
Step 1 – Complete your online application form
Start your child’s application by completing our simple online form.
Step 2 – Submit supporting documents and application fee
Please submit the following documents, which must all be photographs of the original versions. You can upload them via the online application form:
- School Reports: The last 2 years (if applicable), including testimonials and recommendations
- Psycho-educational or Special Education Evaluation Reports (if applicable)
- Passport-sized photographs: 3 copies of electronic JPEG images
- Photocopies of child’s:
- Passport and birth certificate
- Immunisation records (Diphtheria and Measles immunisation is compulsory by law in Singapore)
- Photocopies of Parent’s/Guardian’s:
- Passport and/or each legal guardian’s passport (where applicable)
- Original deed, will or court order to indicate guardianship/custody (if applicable)
- Caregiver Agreement (if applicable) and a photocopy of caregiver’s passport
A non-refundable Application Fee of S$1,050 must be paid when submitting your application. Application Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Please note: these documents must be supplied in English. If documents are not in English, please provide official translated copies. Translations must be carried out by a Notary Public, a Translation Agency or your own National Embassy.
Step 3 – Assessment and/or interview
To ensure that Brighton College (Singapore) is the best fit for your child, we have a personalised assessment process.
Once your application is complete, we will work with you to schedule an assessment. This can be conducted on-campus in Singapore or remotely, depending on each family’s situation.
For Pre-Nursery to Year 1
- Meeting/videos with academic team
- Previous school reports (where applicable)
- Child development form
For Year 2 to Year 6
- Meeting/interview or videos with academic team
- 2 years of school reports
- Child development form
- Cognitive Ability Test (CAT4)
- WIDA interview test (for up to Year 6) or a SLATE test (for Year 6 and above)
For Year 7 onwards
- Interview with the Head of School or Deputy Head of School
- 2 years of school reports
- Cognitive Ability Test (CAT4)
- Additional references/recommendations (optional)
- SLATE test (for English language support)
Step 4 – Application review
Once all documents and assessments are submitted, our Academic Team will review your child’s application. Our goal is to ensure Brighton College (Singapore) will be a place where your child can excel academically, socially, and emotionally. While we do not provide specific feedback on assessment results, we will keep you informed throughout the process.
Step 5 – Application outcome
If an offer is made, we’ll ask you to confirm your child’s place by signing the online pupil contract within seven (7) days and paying the enrolment fee. If no place is available at that time, your child may be placed on our waiting list.
If a place becomes available subsequently, the Admissions Team will contact you.
