Our English curriculum sparks a love of language and literature while developing critical thinking and communication skills. Pupils engage with a wide range of texts, from classic literature to contemporary works and poetry, gaining an appreciation for diverse perspectives and genres.
Through discussions, creative writing, and reflective techniques, we focus on clarity, coherence, and effective argumentation. This curriculum prepares pupils for academic success and confident expression.
Our mathematics curriculum lays a strong foundation in both fundamental skills and advanced concepts. Pupils explore arithmetic, geometry, algebra, and statistics, with an emphasis on problem-solving, logical reasoning, and critical thinking.
We encourage hands-on learning through interactive lessons and real-world applications, helping pupils see the relevance of mathematics in everyday life. Through a mix of individual and collaborative tasks, our approach builds confidence, enhances analytical skills, and prepares pupils for future academic challenges and success in mathematics.
Our geography curriculum inspires pupils to explore the world through both physical and human geography. From diverse landscapes and climates to global economies and cultures, pupils gain a comprehensive understanding of the planet’s systems. Lessons, trips, and map work encourage critical thinking and spatial awareness, helping pupils appreciate environmental sustainability and the interconnectedness of societies.
Our history curriculum takes pupils on a journey through time, exploring key events, people, and cultures that have shaped the world. From ancient civilizations to modern history, pupils gain a deep understanding of historical events, their causes, and their lasting impact.
Through engaging lessons, source analysis, and project work, pupils develop critical thinking, research skills, and an appreciation for diverse perspectives. Our curriculum fosters a sense of curiosity and encourages pupils to make connections between the past and present, helping them become informed and thoughtful global citizens.
Our Science curriculum sparks curiosity and encourages exploration through hands-on experiments, investigations, and practical activities that bring scientific concepts to life. Inquiry-based learning develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills while fostering a lifelong love for discovery.
Pupils are equipped with the knowledge and skills to tackle real-world challenges with confidence.
Our Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) curriculum introduces pupils to the beauty of languages, focusing on Mandarin from Pre-Nursery onward. Through interactive lessons, songs, and games, pupils gradually build their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Mandarin, developing a solid foundation in this increasingly important global language. In addition to Mandarin, we also offer French from Year 3 onwards to introduce the opportunity of a second language before Senior School. Our immersive approach fosters a love for languages and equips pupils with the confidence to engage with diverse cultures both in and outside the classroom.
