I was born and raised in Essex in the United Kingdom. I always had a love of exploring and travelling. During my degree I had the amazing opportunity to teach English in Thailand as part of the British Council TET programme, this deepened my love for teaching and my passion to teach abroad. After graduating from the University of Essex with a degree in English Language, Language Acquisition and Language Disorders, I went on to complete my PGCE at the Institute of Education, University College London. I started my teaching career at a school in Essex where I spent four years teaching in both KS1 and KS2.
In 2021 I became a founding member of a new international school in the heart of Tokyo. Working with a whole new team of teachers was an enlightening, exciting, and rewarding experience. I have had the best two years travelling around Japan, learning about Japanese culture and enjoying the different foods on offer! Having taught in LKS2 for two very enjoyable years in Japan, I decided to follow my dream of working in Singapore.
I love animals, especially my dog Max and horse Arlo! I am a huge fan of anything Disney or Harry Potter. I love the theatre and anything performing arts related with my favourite events of the school year being the shows that I have helped produce in both of the schools I have taught in.
